St. Peter the Apostle Church: our historic church is located at 208 S. Fourth Street in Oakland.
Parish Center: located next to our Church in Oakland (Parish Office, Chapel, and classrooms: lower level; Hall, upper level - events)
St. Peter at the Lake Center: located at 1140 Mosser Road in McHenry.

Special Announcement for the weekend of January 24-25
Additional Vigil Mass (for this Saturday ONLY)
Our plans for this weekend (as of noon, Saturday, January 24) are:
Saturday, January 24: We will celebrate the Vigil of the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time at our weekly 4PM Mass at the Lake Center in McHenry AND at 6PM at the Church in Oakland (for this weekend only).
Sunday, January 25: There will be NO Mass, Religious Education, O.C.I.A., First Reconciliation - or any other activities today. Our campuses are closed.
Reconciliation/Confessions: There will be no Reconciliation (Confessions) This weekend. Confessions available Mass on Wednesdays, as well as by appointments Monday-Thursday in Oakland. Please contact the office to schedule an appointment.
Parishioners may live stream Masses on any of the following or other preferred Catholic Churches with televised or live-stream broadcast options.

Inclement Weather Policy
Office and Weekday Masses, Adoration and Confessions: We follow the Garrett County Public Schools Winter Weather Policy. If schools are closed, delayed or call for early dismissal due to inclement weather, our office (and some events) will follow suit. Our weekday Mass/Adoration/Confessions (at noon) would be canceled, as well.
Weekend Masses: Unless we are under a "State of Emergency," we will celebrate Mass on weekends, but we encourage all to exercise caution and use their best judgment about traveling. Please check our website and follow us at facebook.com/stpeteroakland for announcements and updates throughout the winter months. Our office is regularly closed Friday-Sunday. Saturday, January 31: (every Saturday) Holy Rosary at St. Peter at the Lake Center in McHenry, 3:30 p.m. Vigil Mass at 4 p.m., followed by Confessions. Blessing of Throats.
Sunday, February, 1: Holy Rosary at 8:30 a.m. Mass at 9 a.m., followed by Adoration and Confessions* at the Church in Oakland. Blessing of Throats.

Weekly and Monthly Recurring Events

Weekend Masses: Saturday at 4 p.m. at St. Peter at the Lake in McHenry and Sunday at 9 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Oakland. The Holy Rosary is prayed 30 minutes before these Masses and Confessions are offered after Mass. The Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is offered during our Sunday Mass in Oakland, September - May.
Weekday Masses: Monday - Thursday at noon and Simple Adoration from 12:30-1:30 p.m., at the Church in Oakland. Beginning, Dec. 3, 2025, opportunities for Confessions will be available after the noon Mass on Wednesday. Note: If a priest is not present Monday-Thursday, a Communion Service will be held and confessions will not be available.
*First Sunday: Monthly Sunday Eucharistic Adoration, Immediately after the 9 a.m. Mass (10 a.m. -11a.m.) in the Church, Oakland. Conflicting events may necessitate rescheduling. *Dates may be rescheduled.
Every Friday: Pray the Rosary at 3 p.m. with Bill Schrider and Friends at the Parish Center Hall (or, weather permitting, on the porch) in Oakland. All are welcome!
